NYC Cast: Kristen Gabrielle Overcame Partial Loss of Eyesight. Now The Former Yale Student Brings Queen Jezebel to the Off-Broadway Stage at Triad Theater

Kristen Gabrielle (Actor), who was born and grew up in North Jersey, lived just across the Hudson River, where New York City welcomed her artistic and rebellious spirit. At the age of fourteen, she explored Greenwich Village, feeling more at home wandering its diverse streets than anywhere else.

Years later, the actor says, "I faced the partial loss of my eyesight while attending Yale University—but adversity never dimmed my vision as it shouldn’t yours when left with the question whether you should quit. What good is eyesight if you can’t see yourself chasing your dreams?"

Kristen obtained her BFA from Drew University, demonstrating that genuine artistry is not about what is seen, but how it is perceived. Gabrielle says, "I honed my skills at the Treasure House Theatre Acting Studio with Daniel Amenda, where I was instructed in the Meisner Technique—a transformative experience that revolutionized my method of developing characters in imagined scenarios and my overall performance."

She continues to say, "Art is my lifeblood. Watching my boyfriend captivate audiences on stage and my son bring his fine art to life with the bristles of his brush reminded me that creativity demands commitment. Playing Jezebel is a full-circle moment for me—biblical stories fascinated me as a child, proving that human nature is timeless. Acting is my truth, my anchor, my rebellion.
